Mexico City, Aug 17 (IANS/EFE) Police have arrested a man suspected of involvement in at least 18 homicides, an official said.
The state prosecutor identified the suspect as Aaron Espinoza Hernandez and said he had confessed to selling crack cocaine for a criminal gang headed by Francisco Javier Resillas Rios.
Mexico is offering a reward of 500,000 pesos ($39,000) for information leading to Rios' arrest.
Hernandez is suspected of involvement of at least 18 murders in the towns of Atizapan, Nicolas Romero and Cuautitlan Izcalli since last year, the state prosecutor added.
