Suzuki Motorcycle, a subsidiary of two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki Motor Corporation, registered a 33 percent increase in their July 2015 sales figures as compared to July 2014.
Suzuki Motorcycle sold 36,081 units in July as opposed to 27,118 units in the same month last year.
"Suzuki sales continue to show double digit growth despite a slight downturn in the automobile market," said Suzuki Motor Corporation executive vice president Atul Gupta.
"The 150 cc segment of motorcycles are showing signs of growth and Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF, premium 155cc motorcycles, are both doing well. Also, Suzuki Access and Swish scooters continue to remain very popular choices in a segment which is seeing good growth," he added.
"We expect an even larger percentage increase in sales around the festive period, and have a positive outlook for the coming quarter," he said.
