Taapsee shifts base from Chennai to Mumbai (Movie Snippets)

Actress Taapsee Pannu, known for Telugu and Tamil films "Mr. Perfect" and "Aadukalam", respectively, now wants to try her hand at Hindi movies and has shifted from Chennai to Mumbai, the hub of the Hindi film industry.

"Moving to Mumbai was a conscious decision and it's something that I have been planning for long. I had been living out of my suitcase, so it made complete sense to have a place here that I can call home," Taapsee said in a statement.

She made her Bollywood debut with David Dhawan's "Chashme Baddoor" in 2013. Her next is "Running Shaadi.com".

Subhash Ghai's 'Kaanchi' to release April 25

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai says his "Kaanchi", his "most laborious film", will hit the screens April 25.

"Finally, the shoot of my most laborious film 'Kaanchi' is over and all set to release April 25 and what's best is I'm excited about the film," Ghai tweeted Thursday.

"First sound of music of 'Kaanchi' is gonna be in public tonight (Thursday) at Mirchi music awards with a music piece resounding 'Kaanchi re kaanchi re'," he further posted on Twitter.

Starring Kartik Tiwari and Mishti in the lead roles, the musical drama is a tale of a girl who dares to fight against corruption.

Sujoy Ghosh biased towards 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects'

"Kahaani" fame director Sujoy Ghosh is looking forward to the release of Vidya Balan and Farhan Akhtar-starrer "Shaadi Ke Side Effects".

Co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Pritish Nandy Communications, the film will release Friday.

"Really hoping 'Shaadi Ke Side Effects' kills it tomorrow (Friday) for obvious biased reasons. Too many people I love are in that film," he tweeted Thursday.

Ghosh had worked with Nandy on "Jhankaar Beats" in 2003 and Vidya had featured in his 2012 directorial "Kahaani".
