Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-14 football festival for Central and South Asian region will be held in Tajikistan next year, Tajikistan's Football Federation (TFF) said Thursday.
The TFF Wednesday got a letter from the AFC which said that Tajikistan is approved as the venue for the football regional festival, reports Xinhua.
The competitions will take place here at Dushanbe Central Stadium and at Istiqlol Academy in Almosi village of Hissar district, in May 2015.
The festival will be attended by football teams from Afghanistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
Tajikistan will be coached by Hikmat Fuzaylov, the trainer of Istiqlol Academy.
Tajikistan had already hosted the AFC U-19 Championship qualifying tournament in 2005. AFC U-14 football festivals were previously held in Tajikistan till 2012. In 2014 the AFC held the first U-14 Asian Test Championship in Tajikistan.
