"Por Kuthirai", the Tamil version of the 2013 Telugu crime-drama "Kaalicharan", will hit the screens soon.
The Tamil version of the movie, which is set in the 1980s, was simultaneously shot with the Telugu version.
"'Kaalicharan' will soon release in Tamil as 'Por Kuthirai'. The story revolves around a family torn between two dons. The story is set in Usilampatti, and people there have the characteristics of a war horse and the story is about such people," read a statement.
The film, which features Chaitanya Krishna, Chandini, Kavita Srinivasan and Pankaj Kesari in lead roles, is directed by Praveen Sri.
When the film released in Telugu, it was raved for the performances and for capturing some rustic locales to perfection.
