Teams announced for FC Bayern Youth Cup India

The names of the 10 qualifying teams for the fifth edition of the FC Bayern Youth Cup India football meet in February, were announced on Wednesday.

Modern School, Mira Model School will participate from Delhi; Campion School, St Lawrence from Mumbai; Army Public School and Frank Anthony Public School from Bengaluru; St.Anthony's School and Techno India from North East; Future Hope School and La Martiniere for Boys from Kolkata, sponsors Adidas said in an official statement.

The winning team from the National Finals will win the right to participate in the FC Bayern Youth Cup World Finals at the Allianz Arena in Munich in May 2018.

The winning school team will also get a chance to watch a Bundesliga match at the iconic stadium.

Commenting on the development, Hasan Salihamidzic, Sporting Director of FC Bayern Munich, said: The FC Bayern Youth Cup is a great platform for young players from all over the world to showcase their talent. The chance to win a trip to Munich and take part in a five-day training camp with FC Bayern is unique.

"The young players from India will meet FC Bayern 1st team players, visit the last Bundesliga match and play the final tournament just one day after in the Allianz Arena," he added.
