Television actor Sagar of "Mogili Rekulu' fame is all set to make his silver screen debut with upcoming Telugu romantic-drama "Siddharth", which will be produced by Dasari Kiran Kumar, son of veteran filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao.
"I have a subject that I think only Sagar can do justice to. I don't see him as a debutant because with his television experience, I don't think audience will see him as one. He is a household name in the industry and, therefore, won't find it difficult to sustain," Naresh Chandra, "Siddharth" director, told IANS.
Chandra, who has earlier worked with producer Dil Raju, will start shooting from March onwards.
"My working experience with Dil Raju sir has certainly shaped my career. I feel more confident than I ever felt before and it is with this confidence I'm going ahead with my project," he added.
The rest of the cast of the film will soon be finalised.
