Police reinforcements were rushed to Haryana's Tigra village early Sunday after few vehicles were set on fire, police said.
Tension had been brewing in the village, 120 km from here, in Yamunanagar district for past few days between the Dalit and Rajput communities.
"There was tension between both sides over the issue. A compromise was reached yesterday (Saturday) between them. However, some people set the vehicles on fire late last night. We are investigating," a police official told IANS.
While the Dalits are seeking 100 square yard plots on a particular stretch of land in the village, the Rajputs want a previously approved stadium should be constructed on the same piece of land.
