Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik on Friday extended the tenure of the Agra University Vice-Chancellor by another three months, an official said.
Using the powers vested in him as chancellor of the Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra, Naik had extended the term of the incumbent VC Mohammad Muzammil for three months or till the appointment of a new replacement, the Governor's Principal Secretary Juthika Patankar said.
Mohammad Muzammil's term was to end on September 4, the Raj Bhawan said while informing that for some reason the appointment of his replacement was expected to take some time.
