At least five Myanmar fishermen who went missing after their boat capsized off Phuket province were being searched for by Thailand navy, police said on Tuesday.

Four fishermen were rescued and the skipper died after the boat with 10 migrant workers aboard overturned on Monday, Xinhua news agency quoted the police as saying.

Navy patrol vessels, helicopters and marine police were searching for the missing fishermen.

The search mission was called off on Monday due to unfavourable weather conditions and resumed on Tuesday.
