The Hindu Theatre Fest 2016, slated to begin from August 19, will be held in three cities-Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
"The highlights for this year are Naseeruddin Shah's 'Dear Liar' by Motley in Chennai and Hyderabad, a curated, exclusive weekend of Tamil plays in Chennai," said a statement from the Hindu group.
According to the statement, theatre lovers can expect a great mix of music and theatre in productions such as "Loretta and Yatagarasu".
QTP returns with "The God of Carnage" and Rage Productions will perform the famous "12 Angry Jurors".
The Hindu Theatre Fest which started in 2005 has grown over the years and has showcased theatre from different parts of the country.
This year marks the 12th anniversary of the festival.
The fest presently engages an audience of nearly 10,000 each year with an agenda to become an annual event in all of the major South Indian cities, the statement added.
