'The Jungle Book' rules China's box office

Disney's 'The Jungle Book' stomped out the competition in Chinese theatres in the week ending April 17, earning $49.1 million after opening on April 15, the China Film News reported on Tuesday.

Action-thriller "London Has Fallen" came in second place during the week, pulling in $21 million, Xinhua news agency reported.

"Chongqing Hot Pot", a domestic heist drama about events leading to a bank robbery, raked in about $7.2 million to land in third place in the week.
