The Mumbai Fest, which will offer an array of activities including music, dance, art, food and acting masterclasses, will commence on January 26 here.
It will be held at the MMRDA grounds, Bandra-Kurla Complex, the festival's set has been designed by art director Nitin Kulkarni, who designes sets for films like "Devdas" (2002), "1942: A Love Story" (1994) and "Ishq" (1997).
The three-day festival will start with a cultural parade with more than 300 artistes displaying dance forms like Lezim, Garba, Gondhal, Bhangra and Gidda.
Drumming company Drum Cafe will attempt to create a Guinness world record by playing 2,100 drums together at once at the venue.
Comedian Kiku Sharda will take masterclasses on acting, while The Bollywood Island at The Mumbai Fest will have an International Short Film Festival with support of filmmaker Subhash Ghai throughout the extravaganza.
Designer duo Falguni and Shane Peacock will hold a fashion show, while for automobile enthusiasts there will be a Vintage Car and Motorcycle show to attend in the early hours of the opening day of the fest.
Dance lovers will have a DJ mixing up the music for them at the venue.
