Monaco's Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov will be sidelined for at least three weeks with a thigh injury, the French Ligue 1 football club said.
"Dimitar Berbatov has a muscle injury to his left thigh. He is expected to be out for three weeks," Monaco said in a statement Thursday, reports Xinhua.
The 33-year-old, who has scored eight goals in 20 league matches for Monaco since joining from Fulham this year, sustained the injury in Wednesday's 0-0 draw against Portuguese club Benfica in the Champions League.
