Three people were electrocuted in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district Saturday as power was restored when they were repairing an electric fault during a blackout in heavy rain, police said.
The incident occurred at Murunia village, about 85 kms from here at about 5 pm, police said.
The victims include an elderly couple and a 21-year-old youth. There was no power when the youth was carrying out some electrical repairing work at the couple's house. Also, an electric wire had snapped over the house.
The trio were caught unaware when power supply was restored and were electrocuted, while a minor boy who was in the house sustained critical injures, police said.
