Three persons, including a juvenile, were booked under the stringent POCSO Act and arrested for gang-raping a 12-year-old girl in Odisha's Keonjhar district, police said on Thursday.
According to police, the crime occurred at Dalangapani on late Wednesday night.
The accused forcibly took the girl, who was returning home from a function, to a farmland on the village outskirts and raped her, the police said.
The accused were arrested under Sections 376, 376(d) and 506 of Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act after the girl's family filed a complaint on Thursday, said Ghatagaon police station Sub-Inspector Nayana Bahera.
