Three persons involved in the manufacture of illegal firearms have been arrested and 16 countrymade pistols seized from them, Delhi Police said on Monday.
Joint Commissioner of Police Ravindra Yadav said the accused are Kasmuddin, 55, Ajay Kumar, 41, and Hashim, 19, all from Uttar Pradesh.
Police said 38 cartridges and tools and material used for making firearms too were seized from them.
Two arrests were made in Seelampur of east Delhi on Sunday and the third accused was arrested thereafter.
Kasmuddin had set up a welding shop in Loni in Uttar Pradesh, where he was manufacturing illegal firearms.
