Three killed as train rams into vehicle in UP

Three people were killed and three critically injured when their vehicle was hit by a train at an unmanned crossing in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district, police said.

A Tata Magic van with six passengers was trying to cross an unmanned railway crossing in Bhogaon town when a train hit it, killing three people on the spot.

Passersby rushed the injured to a nearby medical facility where their condition was stated to be critical. The bodies were sent for post-mortem and train services, briefly interrupted, have resumed, sources said.
