Three members of a family, including a minor, were crushed to death on Wednesday when their house collapsed in a landslide in northern West Bengal's Darjeeling district, an official said.
The incident happened in the early hours of the day in Lodhma in the district.
"Three people, including an eight-year-old, have been killed. They were members of the same family," said Darjeeling District Magistrate Anurag Srivastava.
Heavy rainfall triggered landslides in the area, and large chunks of National Highway 10 connecting Siliguri with Gangtok have caved in disrupting traffic.
