Three people were killed and four others severely injured when a power generator exploded at a restaurant here in the Odisha capital on Tuesday, police said.
The blast took place in Khandagiri area. Two people died on the spot while one succumbed to his injuries at a hospital. One was a security guard and two were employees of the restaurant.
Quoting witnesses, Bhubaneswar's Deputy Commissioner of Police Satyabrat Bhoi said the blast occurred when a firecracker burst near the generator set at the Seven Miles restaurant.
The injured were rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack.
