Angry villagers Wednesday lynched three militants in Meghalaya, police official said.
The three suspected members of the breakaway faction of the A'chik National Volunteers Council (ANVC-B) were beaten to death in Omarpur village in North Garo Hills district, a police official said.
Police said two Chinese pistols were also recovered from one of the victims.
The ANVC-B is a splinter group of the ANVC, which has been observing a tripartite ceasefire with the central and Meghalaya governments for nine years.
