The Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation Ltd (TIDCO) will set up an aerospace park in Sriperumbudur in which around 30 companies are expected to set up operations, said state Industries Minister P.Thangamani.
Moving the demand for grants for the industries department in the assembly, he said the aerospace park is expected to attract an investment of around Rs.3,000 crore.
According to him, orders have been issued for allocating around 300 acres in Sriperumbudur, around 50 km from here.
Thangamani said State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu (SIPCOT) has earmarked around 258 acres for the first phase of the aerospace park.
According to him, 12 companies have been allotted lands in the park and three more companies have submitted applications for land allotment.
