TN government declares holiday on Friday, state mourning
Tamil Nadu government on Thursday issued an order declaring Friday as a holiday for educational institutions, state government offices and undertakings owned by the government as a mark of respect to late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, former Prime Minister.
The Tamil Nadu government also ordered the state mourning for seven days from August 16 to Auugust 22.
During the period of mourning, the national flag will be flown half mast and there will be no official entertainment.
