Top shuttlers withdraw from India Open

New Delhi, April 22 (IANS) World No.4 Sony Dwi Kuncoro of Indonesia has withdrawn from India Open Super Series badminton men's event beginning here Tuesday and two top 20 players from the women's singles event.

China's World No. 13 Jiang Yanjiao and 15th ranked Fanetri Lindaweni of Indonesia have pulled out from the women's draw. India's Saina Nehwal is the top seed.

Kuncoro was the second highest-ranked player in the men's lineup after World No. 1 Lee Chong Wei. Parupalli Kashyap will spearhead India's challenge.
