Tour de France champion Chris Froome has won the Velo d'Or award as the best rider of 2013.
The Team Sky leader succeeded teammate Bradley Wiggins, who became the first Briton to win the Tour last year, reports Xinhua.
The 28-year-old Froome enjoyed a spectacular season, in addition to Tour de France, winning at the Tour of Oman, Criterium International, Tour de Romandie and Criterium du Dauphine.
Tour runner-up Nairo Quintana received the Velo d'Or Espoirs award for best young rider.
The awards are decided by a panel of cycling journalists.
