Thousands of train commuters had a harried time as the services were disrupted at East Railway's Sealdah-Bangaon section for over an hour on Wednesday following detection of crack on the track.
The crack between Dum Bum junction and Dum Dum cantonment was noticed at around 9 p.m, and the services were immediately stopped.
"There is a crack on the track between Dum Dum Junction and Dum Dum Cantonment stations. So as a safety measure the services have been temporarily stopped. Repair work is on. Services will be resumed in some time," said an ER Spokesperson.
