A trooper was killed and two others were injured in a pressure bomb trap laid by Maoists in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district on Friday.
The explosion occurred in Dharmaponta village where a bridge was being built and security personnel were deployed. The deceased was identified as Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) constable Suman Tirky.
The blast was followed by Maoist firing for four-five hours. The firing by the militants was countered by the security force personnel.
Police Superintendent Shravan Kumar told IANS that the injured constables -- Suleman Khaka and Anand Minj -- were admitted to Jagdalpur hospital.
