The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Friday released its election manifesto, promising 12 percent reservation to Muslims, waiver of crop loans up to Rs.1 lakh and creation of 14 new districts in Telangana.

Releasing the manifesto, TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao said the manifesto had laid greater emphasis on welfare of poor. Irrigation and development are the other focus areas of the manifesto.

The TRS, which is going alone in the simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and state assembly, promised Rs.50,000 crore for Dalits in five years and Rs.1,000 crore for minority welfare.

With Telangana set to come into being as a separate state June 2, KCR said if TRS comes to power government employees would get a special increment. He also promised salaries to the state employees on par with pay scales of the central government employees.

The TRS said the employees would be transferred only once in three years while services of the contract employees would be regularised.

The party promised government job to one person and Rs.10 lakh financial assistance for the families of all those who laid down their lives for Telangana. The 'martyrs' families will also get agriculture land and free healthcare.

Stating that compulsory free education from KG to post graduation is his dream, the TRS chief said the scheme would be implemented after three years.

In an attempt to woo the Muslims, the TRS promised 12 percent reservations against the existing four percent. It said Urdu would continue to enjoy the status of second official language.

KCR said the Sachar committee report for welfare and development of minorities would be implemented in letter and spirit. He also promised steps for protection of Wakf properties.
