Truecaller, an app that helps identify unknown numbers and also block spam calls, has said it is looking to engage with small and medium businesses (SMBs) and startups to expand its footprint in India.
According to the company, the services will be aimed at plugging leakages in the logistics section of businesses.
"The new service will be aimed at small and medium businesses and may launch in India before Diwali," a top source in the company said.
The app recently crossed the 100-million users mark in India.
The app's other products - Truemessenger and Truedialer - have been downloaded 1 million and 10 million times respectively.
"There are at least half a million active users on Truemessenger which we launched from India," the source said.
According to the company, Truecaller identifies 900 million calls a month and one in seven calls are spam.
The company, which generates revenue only from premium subscription, is also planning a lot of partnerships to increase their consumer base.
Truecaller presently has partnerships with Airtel, Tata Docomo, Gionee, Obi, Celkon, Micromax, Microcsoft, Cyanogen among others.
The Truecaller app is available on Android, iOS, Windows Phone, BlackBerry, ANokia feature phones, Tizen, and Firefox. Additionally, the free Truedialer app is available on Android and Windows Phone.
Truemessenger is available for free on Android, and is complementary to the Truecaller and Truedialer apps.
