An American working for a Christian mission in Andhra Pradesh and a student were missing in earthquake-hit Nepal.
Tony B. Suckla and J. Janardhan, a 10th standard student of A.Y. School in Kambotlapalem in West Godavari district had gone to Nepal on April 13, school officials said.
Suckla (45), a resident of Texas, had last contacted the school management on April 21 and informed that the next day they will be leaving for an expedition to Mount Everest. All efforts by the school authorities to contact them after Saturday's quake failed.
The American citizen has been helping the English medium school located in Kambotlapalem of Yelamanchili mandal by encouraging bright students. This summer, he selected Janardhan for a visit to Nepal.
