Two persons were arrested in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district and nearly 10 kg gold worth over Rs.3 crore seized from them , police said Monday.
The arrests and seizure were made Sunday in Basirhat.
"Acting on a tip off, we have arrested two people from near the railway station and seized from them 95 gold biscuits weighing nearly 10 kgs which are valued at over Rs.3 crore," said Basirhat sub-divisional police officer Abhijit Banerjee.
In March, officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence had seized 45 kg of gold worth over Rs.12 crore from two people from the area.
