Two persons were killed and three others injured as a DTC bus rammed into two e-rickshaws and an auto-rickshaw near the Azadpur Metro station here on Wednesday.
Those killed were Harsh, 15, of Mangolpuri, and Devender, 45, of Shalimar Bagh area. The three injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
Driver Ranvir Singh, 55, fled the spot but was arrested in the evening.
"Prima facie, a tyre of the low-floor Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus burst after which the driver lost control over the vehicle," Deputy Commissioner of Police Milind Mahadeo Dumbere told IANS.
The driver was sent for medical test to find whether he was inebriated, Dumbere added.
The DTC bus was going from Delhi University north campus to Azadpur when the accident occurred.
