Two Palestinians were killed on Friday and more than 30 injured in violent tension between Israel and the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, Xinhua reported.
The Palestinian health ministry in the West Bank said in an e-mail that a 38-year-old Palestinian woman was killed by Israeli troops' gunfire in the town of Silwad northeast of Ramallah.
Palestinian eyewitnesses said that Mahdeya Hammad is a mother of four children and was killed while driving her car in an area where dozens of Palestinian young men and Israeli soldiers were clashing.
An Israeli police spokeswoman said in a press statement that the woman tried to run over her car on Israeli soldiers, adding that when the soldiers saw the car is approaching them, they opened fire and killed the woman.
Earlier on Friday, a Palestinian young man was killed and nine injured during clashes with Israeli soldiers stationed on the border between eastern Gaza Strip and Israel.
Medical officials in Gaza city said that Hani Wahdan, 22, was killed after Israeli soldiers shot him during the clashes east of al-Shuja'eya neighborhood east of Gaza city.
