Two Delhi Police personnel were attacked by a group of youths during a vehicle checking drive here, officials said Monday.
Head constable Dharamveer, 50, and constable Bunty Chaudhary, 30, were attacked with sticks by four youths in a car in Seelampur area of east Delhi Sunday night.
Dharmveer had signalled the car to stop, but the occupants did not stop and sped away.
In a few minutes, they returned carrying sticks in their hands and attacked both the policemen. They hit Dharamveer on his head and ran away.
Both the policemen were admitted to a hospital. The attackers were still at large.
