Two soldiers were injured Sunday when they stepped on a landmine in Jammu district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
A police officer told IANS here that the incident took place in Keri (Khour) area, 50 km from Jammu's city centre Shaheedi Chowk.
The two men belonged to the army's engineering regiment. They were warded in an army hospital.
There is no official word on whether the landmine was planted by separatist guerrillas or by the army to prevent infiltration of militants from Pakistan. The spot is close to the Pakistan border.
