Tripoli, Aug 4 (IANS/WAM) The UAE's Red Crescent Authority has distributed clothes ahead of Eid to orphans and elderly people in Libya's capital city of Tripoli.

The distribution coincided with a campaign launched by the UAE's Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to clothe one million children around the world.

Abdullah Al Mazroui, chairman of the UAE Red Crescent team, said thousands of pieces of clothing were distributed to poor and needy Libyan children.

He said the campaign has been a great success and was able to put a smile on the faces of the recipients.
