Cricketers Umesh Yadav, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Gurkeerat Singh Mann were on Saturday released from the Indian team to join their respective state teams for Ranji Trophy duties.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made the announcement as the second Test between India and South Africa commenced at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Saturday.
In the meantime, Karnataka Ranji Trophy players Karun Nair and Mayank Agarwal will assist the Indian team as reserve players.
The next round of Ranji Trophy starts on Sunday.
