Undefeated Keith Thurman will defend his World Boxing Association (WBA) welterweight title against former World Champion Shawn Porter.
According to promoters, the fight will be staged on March 12 at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Connecticut, reports Xinhua.
Thurman, holding a record of 26-0 with 22 knockouts, will make the second defence of the title he won last March by beating compatriot Robert Guerrero with an unanimous decision. Thurman beat US boxer Luis Collazo after seven rounds last July in his first title defence.
Porter, former International Boxing Federation (IBF) welterweight title holder, has a 26-1-1 record with 16 knockouts.
