Actress Tina Fey and Robert Carlock starrer comedy series "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" has been taken over by online streaming service Netflix from NBC.
According to Deadline magazine, Netflix has bought the series and has ordered two seasons of the show. The show was initially to be aired on NBC, reports contactmusic.com.The first season and second season will have thirteen episodes each.
"Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt" was set to air on NBC next March but will be released on Netflix at around the same time.
A representative for Netflix released a statement and expressed the company's excitement at developing "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt".
The actors also commented on the collaboration.
"Happily, we will still collaborate with our longtime partners at Universal Television to fulfill Netflix's two-season order," Fey and Carlock said in a joint statement.
