The Uttar Pradesh government has issued 150-time bound clearances sought by investors in the past two months, an official said on Wednesday.

All these clearance, he added, were made through the single window portal that was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the 'UP Investors Summit' in February this year.

Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Santosh Kumar Yadav said that as an important component of improving ease of doing business in the state, 150 clearances had been issued through the new 'Single Window Portal' within the timelines specified under the UP Janhit Guarantee Act 2011, since the launch of new system, while 100 applications were under process.

Speaking after chairing a meeting of nodal officials of 20 departments, he noted that the single window portal has been improved and strengthened to offer facility for providing 69 services of 20 Departments against 40 services of 12 Departments in its previous version.

The departments coming under it include Labour, Stamp and Registration, Forest, Environment, Public Works, Food Safety and Drugs Administration, Energy, Urban Development, Housing, Revenue, and Excise among others.

Yadav further said that this system is equipped with online facilities for application, fee payment, tracking and monitoring without any physical interface. It provides facility of an online common application form to the entrepreneur along with easy selection of required clearances according to the sector of the industrial unit.

Thereafter, the entrepreneur can upload the necessary documents and make payment of stipulated fee online to get clearances online within the specified time period. The applicant can download the approvals, NoCs and other things from the portal to commence implementation of the project. He also said that the system was being monitored at the highest level of Chief Minister's office.
