Upcoming exhibition of emerging artists calls for entries

Painters, photographers, printmakers, installation artists as well as new media artists can apply for an exhibition of emerging artists this October.

The exhibition "Surface: 01" is an initiative of ArtBuzz Studios, which aims to provide a free and open platform for local arts and artists in Delhi.

The exhibition is slated to take place from October 12 to 14. The selection of artists, ArtBuzz Studios said, will be strictly on the basis of an application procedure.

"This is a unique opportunity for young artists to showcase their work to the Delhi art world, grow and develop their careers. ArtBuzz Studios will offer advice and guidance to short-listed applicants on how they can promote their work, introducing them to collectors and covering exhibition installation costs. ArtBuzz Studios will not take commissions from art sales -- the full proceeds from artworks sold will be given to the artist," the studio said.

For applying, artists are required to send in five of their best artworks along with a Resume to info@artbuzz.in. The deadline to apply is September 20, and artists will be required to pay Rs 3,500 on selection.
