Uttar Pradesh minister Mohd. Azam Khan has accused the US of pushing the world to the brink of the Third World War.
At an event in Rampur, his home constituency, the urban development minister said on Thursday said the US only worries about its own interests, the world be damned.
He also said that US President Barack Obama had removed the 'Hussain' prefixed to his name as part of "very big conspiracy".
Terming Obama as a "weak Muslim head of the most powerful nation," Khan said love can solve the biggest of problems if nations did not follow the "blind pursuit of oil wells and hills of gold and platinum."
He also said ever since he commented on the Paris terror attacks, he was at the receiving end of hate mongers, and he was also billed a terrorist.
People forgot that he was behind construction of many schools and educational institutions, Azam said.
Azam Khan, the number two in Akhilesh Yadav cabinet, has often courted controversy in the past with his unsavoury statements.
