City-based veteran sports photographer Bikash Sandhu died on Sunday evening following a liver disease which he was battling since February.
He was a well-known photo journalist in the city and the national football circuit. He served Aajkal newspaper since its inception in 1985.
He was 64 and is survived by wife, son and daughter.
Sadhu covered numerous cricket Test matches and One-day Internationals, including World Cup tournaments.
He also covered the Wimbledon tennis tournament, the Olympics and several other prestigious sports events.
The Calcutta Sports Journalists' Club mourned his death and sent its condolences to the bereaved family.
