Action hero Vidyut Jammwal was slated to perform live stunts on the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards stage in Macau Saturday, but he has pulled out at the last minute due to an urgent family situation.
"Vidyut has had to travel urgently out of the country to attend to a certain urgent family situation. Due to this, he will unfortunately not be seen performing his action and stunt based act at IIFA awards 2013 in Macau this year," his spokesperson said in an official statement.
The actor has gained popularity with films such as "Force" and "Commando", and his daredevilry will next be seen in "Bullett Raja".
At the IIFA extravaganza, which kicks off Thursday at The Venetian Macao, stars like Madhuri Dixit and Deepika Padukone will set the stage on fire with their perfect moves and grooves. The awards night will be co-hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor.
