Days after his suspension from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) former cricketer Kirti Azad on Monday said he wants to expose the corrupt in the Delhi's cricket body.
"I have not done anything against party...but I want to expose those who are corrupt in the DDCA (Delhi and District Cricket Association)," Azad told media here.
"I had brought a lot of things (corruption matters) before the then head, but nobody cared," he added.
"The Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) report that we have been hearing about asked the DDCA multiple times for the documents but only few documents were provided," he said.
Claiming to have done a personal investigation in the cricket body, Azad said: "I would like to tell the CBI that I have already done all the investigation. There are efforts to stop the move to weed out corruption in sports".
He said he "staunchly" worked for the Bharatiya Janata Party for years and "a lot of people are jealous".
