Singer Jessica Simpson looked unsteady and seemed to slur, leading to speculation that she was drunk during an appearance on Home Shopping Network to sell her newest fashion collection.
"Ashlee is like the best at wearing gray. My sister...Like, she's very rock 'n' roll, but there's something about a gray that's like...sexy. Maybe it's her and her husband, they share jeans...I have no idea...I don't know. There's just something hot about them," Simpson rambled as she talked about her younger sister, Ashlee, reports aceshowbiz.com.
The host Colleen Lopez saved the day by bringing the focus on the denims as she said: "It looks very fresh to me."
As the host said that many female shoppers would be very "obsessed" with the skinny jeans, the "Where you are" crooner, who was accompanied by her mother Tina Simpson said: "Maybe men, too. You never know!"
The singer has not responded to the drunken rumours, but HSN issued a statement after a clip of her appearance hit the web.
Without mentioning the rumours, the statement read: "It was fun to have Jessica make her HSN debut with her mother Tina last night. We were happy to host them and thrilled with the way customers responded to the collection."
