Water cannons used to disperse Congress workers in Chandigarh

Scores of Congress workers who were demonstrating near the venue of a rally being addressed by BJP National President Amit Shah were dispersed by the police using water cannons, here on Sunday.

Carrying black flags and shouting slogans against the Narendra Modi government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the protesters tried to break police barricades near the rally venue in Sector 27.
