Actresses Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning and Susan Sarandon have been roped in to star in the upcoming drama "Three Generations".
Scripted by Nikole Beckwith, the film's story is described as an exploration of identity and follows Ray (Fanning), a teenager in New York transitioning from a female to a male and her single mother Maggie (Watts), who is coming to terms with having to raise her only daughter like a son, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
Sarandon will play Maggie's mother Dolly who faces a hard time understanding Ray's life-altering decision.
Directed by Gaby Dellal, the film is scheduled to go on the floors early Nov in New York.
