Arsenal's Arsene Wenger and Aaron Ramsey Tuesday claimed the manager and player of the month awards for September.
The North London club won four out four Premier League matches in September, including a 1-0 win over arch-rivals Tottenham at the start of the month. The Gunners followed up with wins over Sunderland, Stoke and Swansea to establish themselves as the early season pace-setters in the English top flight, the London Evening Standard said.
Wenger, who was heavily criticised following Arsenal's opening day defeat against Aston Villa, has seen his team improve rapidly following the acquisitions of Mesut Ozil and Mathieu Flamini.
Ramsey has been integral to his team's resurgence and scored four goals in four league games for the Gunners in the month earning plaudits from teammates and rivals alike.
