West Bengal governor resigns

West Bengal Governor M.K. Narayanan has resigned, a state minister said Monday.

"I am told his last day at work will be July 4," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partha Chatterjee told the media here.

Home ministry sources in New Delhi confirmed that Narayanan had quit.
